Sally completed her initial dental training at the Royal Dental Hospital in London and subsequently gained experience in Hospital Dental Departments. Early in her career, Sally worked in a variety of practice environments both in the UK and Australia. Sally recently finished her part-time work in the Emergency Dental Service where she was involved with triage, surgery nursing and reception. She joined the team at St Lawrence House in Jan 1988 and for several years was practice manageress to ensure the smooth running of the practice. Now, Sally  helps with patient care in the surgery.

After leaving school, Sue completed a BSc course with the Open University with practical aspects at Nottingham Medical School.  Sue gained her National Dental  Nursing certificate (NEBDN) at Bournemouth Hospital and worked in general dental practice before moving into the School Dental Services. Sue then worked within the Community Dental Service helping those patients with special needs. Sue's interest in Orthodontics lead her to a position in the Orthodontic Department at the Royal  Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. Sue briefly left dentistry to help with people hard of hearing at Mary Hare facility, then returned to the Special Care Dentistry in the surgical theatre team within the Community Dental Services. Sue also completed her Diploma in Hypno-psychotherapy at the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in 2012 providing her with great insight into the needs of anxious patients in particular.
